ICYMI: ‘House Of The Dragon’ S3 Trailer Is All-Out War

Dragons setting ships on fire. Brutal battlefields chocked in smoke and flame. And King’s Landing switching from Green to Black? It’s all on HBO’s final trailer for House of the Dragon‘s third season and, it seems, the Dance of Dragons is reaching a crescendo.
The third year will see Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) sit the Iron Throne — at least, the voiceovers seem to indicate that — and the trailer, like many other characters, is concerned about her fitness to rule. It’s a reasonable question as much of her reign as the exiled queen has been on war posturing. But it seems old secrets and the old rivalries will not disappear even if she retakes King’s Landing as her own. We imagine our resident Fire and Ice expert Austin Gorton will have more to say when the series returns, but we also have some idea of how this story ends for this branch of the Targaryens. Will the secret of the Song of Ice and Fire be lost with them?
House of the Dragon Season 3 debuts June 21st on HBO.
