Tragedy Must Be Stopped In ‘Space Ghost Vs. The Herculoids’ #1

You know this had to happen.
Dynamite announced Thursday the coming of Space Ghost vs. The Herculoids — the crossover event pairing the groovy 1960s Hanna-Barbera action-adventure characters for a special comics crossover bout. Written by David Pepose with Jonathan Lau on art, the miniseries serves as the beginning to Space Ghost‘s “third season.” It is also an echo of the characters’ original crossover in the 1967 Space Ghost episode “The Molten Monsters of Moltar”
Space Ghost and the Twins stop the hijacking of a Federation cruiser, but soon discover “a new arms race involving a rare mineral known as Quasarite.” In response, the Federation invades Amzot to retrieve it. If they are successful, it will trigger “an unspeakable tragedy that will put the intergalactic barbarian Zandor and the Herculoids on a harrowing quest for revenge.” Can Space Ghost stop the Herculoids before innocent civilians end up as collateral damage? Also, “what dark machinations lie ahead for the Federation’s chief prison warden, the evil Collector, and his robotic servant, Mekkano?”
The issue also comes to shops with a choice of covers courtesy of Drew Moss, Joseph Michael Linsner, Tom Raney, Francesco Mattina, and Bjorn Barends. Blind bags will also be available.
