‘Marvel Tokon: First Strike’ #1 Chronicles The Lore Of The Upcoming Game

On August 6th, Marvel Games, PlayStation Studios and Arc System Works join forces to release the latest in tag team fighters, Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls. To get comic fans ready, Marvel Comics will release a special one shot full of action and lore — Marvel Tokon: First Strike.
This action packed special, out the same week as the game, will be written by comics superstars Steve Orlando, Tom Waltz and Josh Trujillo with art from artists on the rise Bruno Bull, Athila Fabbio and Ryusei Yamada. The special will star the game’s central heroes — the Fighting Avengers and the Unbreakable X-Men — and will provide the origins of those heroes in the game’s world, as well as its antagonists, the Promoter and the Champion.
On top of that, Marvel will release 20 new variant covers, featuring the game’s playable characters, across twenty new Marvel Comics releases starting in August.

Marvel Tokon: First Strike will be in comic shops and digital platforms on August 5th, while Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is available on PS5 and PC August 6th.
