Tom welcomes editor David Leach into the virtual panel room to discuss Titan’s upcoming Ian Fleming’s James Bond Signature Comic Strip Collection. It is the first of several volumes reprinting seven full-length newspaper strip stories based on Fleming’s 007 novels. Leach outlines the history of the strips and how faithfully artist John McLusky depicted Bond. Did he replicate Fleming’s desire to have Bond resemble Hoagy Carmichael? Leach also explains the role of an editor in collections like these versus newly made material. He also teases some of the bonus materials and Chris Weston’s cover. Leach also recalls his earliest memories of Bond and offers his choices to play the role in feature films.
