ROM’s First Appearance In Skybound’s Energon Universe To Be Reprinted As ‘ROM Special’ #1 Along With ‘M.A.S.K. Origins’ #1

After the success of ROM #1, secretly stashed in copies of Skybound/Image Comics’ M.A.S.K. #1 Blind Bags, Skybound/Image Comics and Hasbro have announced that they will be reprinted this issue with new variant covers as ROM Special #1. As well as this news, they will also be reprinting M.A.S.K. Origins #1, also released as part of the same Blind Bag initiative, with bothe comics coming out next month.

In case you didn’t read our original report, ROM Special #1 is written by Energon Universe mastermind Robert Kirkman with art by Lorenzo De Felici, while M.A.S.K. Origins #1 is written by Kirkman and Joshua Williamson with art by Andrea Milana and Dan Mora and features the first appearances of M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M. in the Energon Universe.

Fans may also want to know that ROM will be appearing in upcoming issues of Void Rivals, the original Energon Universe title also written by Kirkman with art by Conor Hughes. ROM Special #1 will come with variant covers by Christian Ward, E.J. Su, Nick Bradshaw, Jim Charalampidis and John Amor.

Meanwhile, M.A.S.K. Origins #1 will feature variant covers by Jason Howard, Ethan Young, Danilo Beyruth, Neeraj Menon and Ben Oliver.

ROM Special #1 and M.A.S.K. Origins #1 are both out on Wednesday, 26th August from Skybound/Image Comics.
