Snail Games Announces Open-World Cultivation Game ‘9 Yin Sutra: Immortal’

Developer Snail Games has announced its next title, 9 Yin Sutra: Immortal, an open-world cultivation sandbox game. While the studio has mostly been known for MMOs, 9 Yin Sutra will be single-player with optional online co-op. They’ve already confirmed the game will be available on multiple platforms with cross-platform progression.
So far, not much else has been confirmed, though the Steam overview page offers a bit more information about the world of 9 Yin Sutra:
“9 Yin Sutra: Immortal is an open-world cultivation sandbox blending survival, building, exploration, talisman arts, and artifact crafting.
As spiritual qi rises, all things awaken to the path of cultivation. Step into a vast realm brought to life with Unreal Engine 5, where cultivators from around the world gather to discuss the Dao and seek eternal life. Uncover hidden realms, seize rare opportunities, decipher ancient runes, and refine wondrous treasures. In a world where danger and fortune walk side by side, how far will you go to uncover the secret of immortality?”
There’s no release date announced, but the Steam page also talks about a beta test coming at an unspecified later date. For now, it’s interesting to see the cultivation genre finally get what looks to be a major AAA title.
