Adult Animation Revolution: ‘Doomsweepers’

Olan Rogers‘ Lightfold Studio and Studio Flying Bark (Avatar Aang: The Last Airbender) have partnered up to produce a new animated, multi-media project Doomsweepers. Created and directed by Sarah Harper (Rise of the TMNT) the series is described as an original horror “zom-com” about a team of misfit janitors who work in a mysterious research facility. Animation fans can expect action, horror, and plenty of laughs as the janitors unravel the facility’s best kept dark secret.
The art style is refreshingly bright and appealing in contrast to traditional dark, dystopian, apocalyptic shows. What’s also unique is Lightfold Studio’s goal of creating a Doomsweepers animated show, game, and comics. Whatever form it takes, it will ultimately be due to the strength of the characters and stories that connect with audience members.
