‘Vampirella Archives’ Vol. 9 Sets Details For December Release

As Dynamite continues its Vampirella Archives initiative in December with Vol. 9.

The series — which reprints the original Harris Publishing Vampirella magazine in an affordable paperback form — has reached 1977 with issues #57-64. That final issue of the volume sees a nearly 70-page Vampi story from writer Gerry Boudreau and artists Gonzalo Mayo and Carmine Infantino. Other Vampirella tales in the collection feature work from writer Roger McKenzie, who played a key role in the 1970s reinvention of Daredevil. Meanwhile, “definitive artist of the era” Jose Gonzalez offers contributions on several stories, including “three tantalizing ones featuring fan-favorite villain the Blood Red Queen of Hearts.”

Other creators featured in the volume include Bruce Jones, Esteban Maroto, Fernando Fernandez, Russ Heath, Jose Ortiz, Rafael Auraleon, Leopold Sanchez, and more. Check out the gallery below of some of the phenomenal black & white art below:
