Dan Watters To Write An Early Valentine For ‘The Terminator’

Writer Dan Watters loves The Terminator.

Or, at least, he likes the Machines enough to pen Dynamite’s upcoming The Terminator Valentines Day Special 2027. As part of the continuing partnership between the comic book publisher and Terminator rights-holder StudioCanal, the special will bring a certain technoir edge to the day of love.

It all begins when Jack and Jill meet at work. Their relationship is immediate and red hot … until a year later when Jack becomes obsessed on his latest assignment over at Cyberdyne System: a surveillance satellite due to launch on February 14th, 1987. But will their love survive as the march of Skynet and the Machines proceeds toward its apocalyptic conclusion?

Joining Watters on art is Pasquale Qualano, a familiar Dynamite name with work on such titles as Vampirella, Red Sonja, Gargoyles, and Supernatural now making his Terminator debut. Meanwhile, artists Björn Barends, Francesco Mattina, and Stuart Sayger provide cover for the special:
