Jean Loses Control In ‘Jean Grey’ #1 Preview
by Tony Thornley
She’s one of the X-Men’s stalwarts, but for the last two years, she’s been soaring the spaceways. That’s changing as a part of Marvel’s DNX event, and in November Jean Grey is coming home.

Coming from X-Men writer Jed MacKay and rising star Roge Antonio, Jean Grey will bring the X-Men’s most powerful member home, while putting her face-to-face with a foe that’s nothing less than a primal force. Will she be able to control the fire within her to ignite a new era of mutantkind, or will the Phoenix burn everything she touches to ash?
MacKay told Marvel.com about the series: “As one of the original five X-Men, she’s been there since the beginning, and there’s not only a rich history to explore, there’s also digging into how that history has shaped her in the present. Jean’s been a lot of different things over the years, but [she] also means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, so I’ve been looking forward to winnowing down these disparate interpretations into who she is now.”
In the first revealed pages, MacKay shows just how powerful Jean can be. Check the pages out, as well as Russell Dauterman’s variant for the debut issue and Joelle Jones’s cover for the series’ third issue.

Jean Grey #1 comes to stores November 25th from Marvel Comics.
