‘Crimson Desert: Charting the Unknown’ Continues To Stuff The Game With Endless Content

by Sage Ashford

When Crimson Desert was on its way out at the top of the year, the general belief was that the game was too good to be true. When it was released, that turned out to be partially true, as reviewers noted the game’s obtuse controls and nonsensical story detracted from the main experience. However, the developers at Pearl Abyss have worked overtime to correct many of these flaws, fixing the controls and even improving the story through Crimson Desert Enhanced.

As if that wasn’t enough, though, now they’re ready for the game’s first DLC: Charting the Unknown. It will add new stories not just for Kliff, but for Damiane and Oongka as well.

They’re also planning to add the ability to sail the seas and craft ships, while also vastly improving the business management and housing elements. Players will even be able to build relationships with Pywel’s characters that could turn into getting married.

It’s the kind of massive expansion that’s starting to feel normal for the title, which has become an everlasting gobstopper of content that can last dozens of hours. Though Crimson Desert might not be everything reviewers wanted, it’s turned into a beloved game worldwide nonetheless. Let’s see if they can continue improving on things with Charting the Unknown now available.
