Erica Schultz And Adriana Melo Plan A ‘Vampirella Summer Special’ At Dynamite

While it might feel like Spring just arrived, Dynamite is already looking to Summer. As evidence: the company announced Monday the Vampirella Summer Special 2026. This year, Erica Schultz and Adriana Melo orchestrate the title character’s July getaway.

It’s time to hit the beach for the Daughter of Drakulon. But her R&R comes with complications you might not expect. As an alien, sunlight is no problem for her. Time travel, though, is always a potential hazard and soon, Vampi finds herself 2000 years in the past during a tale called “Rising From The Ashes.” And instead of the relaxing stay at the coast, her sudden excursion out of the Common Era also includes an erupting volcano!

A veteran of Charmed and Xena, the Summer Special makes Schultz’s return to Dynamite after runs on Daredevil, X-Men, and other Marvel titles. Melo, meanwhile, makes her Vampi debut after contributing a cover to Gail Simone’s time with Red Sonja. The sample pages below will be colored in the final release version.

Supporting the special are covers from Melo, Shannon Maer, and CucumberCosplay. Additionally, a mystery blind bag option will be available featuring three limited-edition variants.
