Those in attendance at the D23 live action film presentation received one last surprise today as Marvel Studios presented a quick burst of images from the upcoming Avengers: Infinity War.
In addition to confirming the repair of the Milano following it’s crash-landing in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, the quick preview saw the Guardians aiding a fallen Thor. Other glimpses include Loki offering Thanos the Tesseract, Spidey utilizing the suit Tony Stark made for him as a member of the Avengers and Thanos destroying a battlefield with comets. As it happens, he will be oppose by a crazy mix of characters, including Mantis and Iron, as seen in one shot, and according to ComingSoon.net, Doctor Strange. But considering this is the culmination of ideas dating all the way back to Captain America: The First Avenger — and possibly earlier — weird character combos are what we want to see. Particularly if it leads to Rocket stealing Bucky’s arm.
As in times past, it is unclear if the material will be made available to the public anytime soon or if those not at D23 will have to wait until Thor: Ragnarok or Black Panther to see more, but one hopes it will be out in the wild soon as it sounds like some of the most Marvel material ever presented.
