This week sees the arrival of the trade collection of the Boom! Studios series Warlords of Appalachia.
Written by Philip Kennedy Johnson and drawn by Jonas Scharf, the story of a USA following a Second Civil War follows the lives of characters in Kentucky who refused to be ruled by a fascist state and resist occupation. Leading this rebellion is former mechanic and reluctant folk hero Kade Mercer will become the first “feudal warlord of Appalachia”.

Described as a “grounded military epic with flourishes of sci-fi futurism”, this collected series focuses on the homefront and the human relationships that drive a man to lead a rebellion.
