The First 17 Minutes Of Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.’s Fifth Season Reveals The Team Are More Than Lost In Space
by Erik Amaya
In anticipation of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s return on Friday, Marvel has released the first seventeen minutes of the season five debut. It includes a look back at the capture of Coulson’s team at the end of last season, a lot of Dead Space style corridors and a clarification of why and how the team are on out in deep space. In fact, if their fan is to be believed, the team may also be lost in time as well as space. And they have a mission: save the human race.
If this is the show’s final year, they appear to be going out with a bang. Aliens hiding on Earth, distaff Star-Lords behaving menacingly and alien creatures that are definitely not the Brood all make for some new and exciting elements for our favorite band of semi-state-supported field agents.
Meanwhile, I suppose, poor Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) — left behind on present day Earth — will have to figure out some way to reunite with the team. He does have a few resources I suppose. But will he also be a target of the US Government following his involvement with AIDA last year? Does that make him Marvel’s Most Wanted now?
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. debuts Friday on ABC.
