Dungeon Runs, Digital Comics, And More: Hearthstone Kobolds & Catacombs
by Christine Marie Attardo
It wasn’t until I found myself a few bosses in playing the new dungeon run feature of Hearthstone’s latest expansion Kobolds & Catacombs that I realized I recognized a character from playing World of Warcraft. His name? Candlebeard. Then I thought, well that makes sense because we get to see a lot of the same characters, but what a unique choice!
Might I say, the dungeon run feature of the game has been the sole reason why I’ve gotten back into the game. I was discouraged by the solo adventure for Knights of the Frozen Throne, so much so, that I stopped playing. Now, I feel like I’m back in the game…despite how difficult it is! I find that the mechanic to gain your cards (and special powers) randomly is very intriguing.
…but that’s not all! Blizzard has also introduced a digital comic for the expansion which is a really fun read. It’s called, Up Comes Down. Check it out here.

This is the kind of stuff that really brings me into a full, fun experience with games. Blizzard is hitting a lot of different types of media, which in turn makes for a well rounded experience. All in all, I’m addicted again. How about you? What are your thoughts on the latest Hearthstone expansion, Kobolds & Catacombs?
