Dark To Publish Unabridged & Illustrated Dragon Age Novel ‘Hard In Hightown’
by Hannah Means Shannon
Dark Horse have announced that they’ll be releasing a hardback illustrated novel this summer from the world of Dragon Age.
Appearing in unabridged format, Hard in Hightown is an “in-world novel” that follows the adventures of Donnen Brennokovic, a “weathered and weary city guardsman” who finds himself paired with a new recruit. While on a routine patrol, they stumbles across the body of a murdered magistrate, and soon find themselves embroiled in a clash between Chantry agents and a “shadowy organization” known as the Executors, driven by a “mysterious ancient artifact”.
The story is described as “fast-paced crime noir”.
Ghostwritten by Mary Kirby, who wrote as Varric for both Dragon Age II and Dragon Age: Inquisition, and illustrated by Stefano Martino, Álvaro Sarraseca, Andres Ponce, and German Ponce, with a painted cover by E.M. Gist, Dragon Age: Hard in Hightown will go on sale on July 31, 2018.
It is available for preorder at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and your local comic shop. The 96-page hardcover will retails at $19.99.
