Ralph Dibny Makes An Explosive Superhero Debut In A Clip From Tonight’s The Flash

by Erik Amaya

You’d think with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) behind bars that The Flash would be back to the all-misery tone of season three. But, thankfully, Ralph Dibny (Hartley Sawyer) is here to prevent that level of morose brooding from infecting the series again. As the following clip illustrates, his idea of playing hero is a little different from Barry’s. Unfortunately, he’s still lacking a few important things: a proper suit and a proper name. The fact Cisco (Carlos Valdes) still hasn’t provided either suggests Ralph’s abrasive tendencies are giving Cisco pause. But whether or not he’s properly outfitted as a hero, Ralph finds a way to save the day.

Considering where we left things with Barry last week, I’m all for the series becoming The Elongated Man for a while. It’s finally Ralph’s time to be a hero and if it means putting Barry on ice, so be it.
The Flash airs Tuesdays on The CW.
