Anissa Steps Up To Save Jefferson In A Preview Of Next Week’s Black Lightning

Now that the ASA have a pretty good guess as to the identity of Black Lightning, Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) finds himself accused of a crime he did not commit. And if Gambi (James Remar) is correct, it’s all a set-up to get Jefferson alone and confirm he has abilities. But as seen in this preview of next week’s Black Lightning, Anissa (Nafessa Williams) will step up to change the assumptions Freeland has about its superheroes.
Based on some of the quick cuts here, it appears Jefferson will be accused of murdering LaLa (William Catlett), which means no one outside of his organization and drug contacts knows he’s back from the dead. It’ll be interesting to see what happens when the whole city learns he’s alive.
