Supergirl And Mon-El Find A Kryptonian City In A Preview Of Next Week’s Show

To stop Reign (Odette Annable) at the genetic level and restore Sam, Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Mon-El (Chris Wood) venture out into space to retrieve more of the Kryptonian metal used in the bonding process to make Worldkillers. But in their search, they find a Kryptonian city on an asteroid five light years from Earth. And more surprising, Kara’s mother Alura (Erica Durance) appears to be alive and well.
Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) gets attacked while out with Ruby (Emma Tremblay), which suggests someone’s finally figured out why an “FBI agent” goes on missions in that suit.
While it is easy to presume Kara just found Argo City or Earth-38’s version of Kandor, I wonder if there’s more to it. Like, perhaps, a grand illusion to keep her from obtaining the metal; which happens to give Kara the Worldkiller powers. She may have to learn to control it and confront Reign should the effort to restore Sam fail.
Sadly, though, it seems the friendship between Supergirl and Lena (Katie McGrath) is completely broken, which makes Kara’s friendship with Lena all the more difficult and, one assumes, the emotional crux of season four in the Fall.
