Bernie Wrighton’s Frankenstein To Get The Artist’s Edition Treatment From IDW

by Olly MacNamee

Frankenstein celebrates iy’s 200th anniversary this year and so what better time to please an Artist’s Edition of Bernie Wrightson’s beloved adaption, originally published by Marvel in the early 1980s.

As with all Artist’s Editions, each gorgeous plate will be reproduced from scans of the original art and printed at the same size they were drawn, with all the distinctive creative nuances that make original art unique – a perfect representation of the work in its original form.

Alongside this is the news that Bernie’s last published work, Frankenstein Alive, Alive written by Steve Niles and completed by Kelley Jones, will be collected as hardcover this Fall too. Good news for horror fans, and Wrightson fans I would say.
