Birds Of Prey Gets A Fantabulous Subtitle From Margot Robbie

The Birds of Prey film will have one remarkable subtitle when it sees release in 2020.
As revealed by star and producer Margot Robbie earlier today, Birds of Prey will be called Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Miss Harley Quinn). While it first seemed like a joke, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed with Warner Bros. Pictures that the longer title will be used.

The new subtitle certainly suggests the film will follow up on her prison break in Suicide Squad, but will it also delve into what happened between her and the Joker (Jared Leto) afterward? From what we know, the film will see Harley teaming up with Huntress (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) and Black Canary (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) to face off against Gotham City crime lord Black Mask (Ewan McGregor), but is it possible Black Mask is a cover for the Joker’s presence in the film? The character has been part of Mistah J’s bait-and-switch before. The Batman: Arkham Origins video game heavily featured Black Mask in the early part of its story and its marketing campaign only for Joker to be the real villain of the story.
Either way, the film gets bonus points for a long and fantabulous title.
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Miss Harley Quinn) opens February 7th, 2020.
