Aw Yeah! Art Baltazar’s Powers In Action Gets First TPB This March

by James Ferguson

Action Lab Entertainment has announced the first collection of Powers in Action from creator Art Baltazar, due out in March. Collecting the first four issues of the series, originally released under Action Lab: Discover, the publisher’s new early readers imprint, Powers in Action is described as a Saturday morning cartoon in comic book form.

The series follows Lynx and his sister Ocelot as they join the super team called Hero Squadron. This also includes other heroes like Suplex, Eclipse, Enormous, and their leader, Moon. We peek into their adventures as they take on a number of super villains and learn the true power of teamwork.
Creator Art Baltazar says:

AW YEAH! These are the super hero stories I’ve been imagining since I was a kid! Based on the super hero comics I created in 1986 when he was 17 and in high school, originally called Images of Art, these classic tales and characters are getting a redesign and story retellings. I gave them an update with over 25 years of cartooning experience for a brand-new never before seen audience! WHEW! It’s very exciting to present my Hero Squadron to the world! I can’t wait to show you what these bad guys are going to do! I hope you dig the fun!

Powers in Action: Volume 1 is due out in March. It clocks in at 128 pages and retails for $14.99.
