Management Sim ‘Two Point Hospital’ Coming To Consoles
by Gary Catig
Theme Hospital was a fun simulation game on the PlayStation 1 where the player managed a hospital that attracted and cured patients with comical diseases. Despite the humorous tone, it took a lot of thought to plan the layout along with strategy selecting equipment and training staff to maximize patient visits and satisfaction.
Last year, the original creators launched a spiritual successor to the game entitled Two Point Hospital on PC. The title was so well received and successful that Sega® Europe Ltd. and Two Point StudiosTM are bringing the critically acclaimed management sim to consoles in late 2019.
Two Point Hospital will be fully rebuilt for console gaming and designed to be played either on the go or at home. It will include such features as Interior Designer, copy paste room layouts and character customization. The expansions ‘Bigfoot’, taking place in a snowy region, and ‘Pebberley Island’, which is set in the tropics, will also be part of the console version.
Mark Webley, Game Director at Two Point Studios, says:
Bringing Two Point Hospital to console is something we always envisioned when starting up Two Point Studios in 2016. Our community’s number one question since launch has been: ‘when is Two Point Hospital coming to consoles?’. Well, it is happening and we are very excited.
Two Point Hospital will be available physically and digitally on Sony PlayStation 4, Microsoft Xbox One and Nintendo Switch at the end of 2019.
