Resident Evil 3 Remake Confirmed For April 3rd

by Sage Ashford

The worst-kept secret in gaming, Resident Evil 3 was formally shown off at Sony’s most recent State of Play. First billed as the “single-player component” to Resident Evil Resistance, the trailer made it clear this was actually just the remake of the long-beloved Survival/Horror title.
The game focuses on S.T.A.R.S. member Jill Valentine and her attempt to escape from a completely zombie-infested Raccoon City, all while being chased by a giant monster, Nemesis, who exists solely to wipe out all of S.T.A.R.S.  She’ll also have to battle against Umbrella Corp’s own private military to make it out of the city. Of course, not all of Umbrella Corp’s people are evil, and Jill becomes allies with Carlos as he tries to help any living survivors out of the city.

Resident Evil 3 also has a GameStop exclusive Collector’s Edition, which will come with a double-sided map of Raccoon City, a Digital soundtrack, a collector’s art book, a S.T.A.R.S. Item Box, and a eleven inch Jill Valentine figure. This will run players $179.99, and currently is only available to people in North America.
Resident Evil 3 will be available for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
