‘The Division 2: Coney Island’ Trailer Released

Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have released a story trailer for the third episode for The Division 2’s post content plan. After spending most of the game in Washington DC, this storyline sends players back to New York City (the location of the fire Division game), where they’ll head to Coney Island. There, players will encounter more of the Black Tusk’s soldiers as they seek out a scientist they believe has some answers on how to stop the virus plaguing America.
The Black Tusk are as much of a threat as always, as this time they attack players with anti-aircraft missiles. But players will also get some upgrades, like a sweet new flamethrower, to battle their enemies. This episode will be another bit of free story content for players, but will also be the last part of the initial Season 1 content road map. This represents a full year of content updates, but there’s a good chance things won’t stop there.
After the relative failure of Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, Ubisoft discussed their belief that players don’t want their games rendered obsolete too quickly, and seemed to have changed course on a bunch of things, resulting in the delay of their entire suite of games. Presumably, The Division 2 will receive another year (possibly two) of content, extending the life of the game and giving more players a reason to invest in the service.
For now, Episode 3 of The Division 2 will launch for PC and consoles simultaneously in February.
