Avatar’s Toph Beifong Stars In Her Own Graphic Novel From Dark Horse

Tons of people are discovering (and re-discovering) Avatar: The Last Airbender since it hit Netflix. If you’ve binged the series and you’re looking for more, Dark Horse Comics has you covered. There are a few graphic novels that explore further aspects of the series, including some that pick up after the animated series ended including the recently announced Avatar: The Last Airbender – Toph Beifong’s Metalbending Academy.

Written by Faith Erin Hicks, illustrated by Peter Wartman, and colored by Adele Matera, the graphic novel was created in collaboration with Avatar: The Last Airbender animated series writer Tim Hendrick. It explores where the Blind Bandit ended up after the TV show ended. After all the adventures she had, things at the Beifong Metalbending Academy seem dull. When Sokka and Suki come to visit, they reintroduce some familiar faces from their wandering days. While they’re out celebrating, Toph discovers something that might put the spring back in her step.
Avatar: The Last Airbender – Toph Beifong’s Metalbending Academy is set for release on February 16^th, 2021 and will retail for $12.99. It’s currently available for pre-order at your local comic shop, bookstore, and Amazon.
