Marvel Collects Every Comic It Published In August 1961 In One Omnibus
by James Ferguson
As a Marvel Unlimited subscriber, every so often I read about someone that intends to read every issue Marvel has published since the beginning. That’s a monumental task and few actually go through with it. Now, Marvel Comics is offering a way to start that in print with a new omnibus collecting every comic published in August 1961.
That might seem like an arbitrary date, but August 1961 was when Fantastic Four #1 hit newstands so it’s an important time for Marvel. It marks the beginning of a change for the publisher and pop culture in general.
Marvel: August 1961 Omnibus will include:
- JOURNEY INTO MYSTERY (1952) #73-74
- KATHY #13
- LIFE WITH MILLIE #13
- PATSY WALKER #97
- AMAZING ADVENTURES (1961) #6
- FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) #1
- KID COLT, OUTLAW #101
- LINDA CARTER, STUDENT NURSE #2
