Square-Enix Kart Racer ‘Chocobo GP’ Releases March 10th

One of Square-Enix’s strangest announcements this year came when they confirmed they would be bringing back their long-dormant Chocobo kart-racing franchise with Chocobo GP. It’s existence was confirmed during the Fall Square-Enix Presents, and it’s already got a release date. The “release date trailer” shows off a variety of modes and tracks available in the game.

There’s a Story Mode where players can unlock both new players and tracks to race on, and a Series mode where players can race one another. There’s also Time Attack, where players can race against themselves or the ghost data of other players. And there’s custom races as well, to alter the number of tracks and control the Magicite items found on the track.  Lastly, there’s Chocobo GP mode where players can race against up to 64 players in a knock-out tournament to determine who’s #1.

Chocobo GP releases worldwide March 10th exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
