This March, Die!namite returns for its third arc: Die!namite Never Dies. And as announced on Thursday, Fred Van Lente will return as writer of the next story. Joining him are artist Vincenzo Carratù, colorist Kike J. Diaz, and letterer Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou.
Evil (Red) Sonja, Vampirella, Pantha, and their crew were successful in stopping the undead horde from Earth during Die!namite Lives. But what if there is a new army of zombies on Mars ready to start a massive invasion? Will they preemptively invade Mars themselves? Meanwhile, deep in a lost valley, Tarzan has his hands full with zombie dinosaurs wreaking havoc in his lands. Making matters worse — he soon finds himself transported to Barsoom and crossing paths with John Carter.
“I’m so thrilled to be writing Tarzan of the Apes as the latest addition to our already terrific cast,” Van Lente said in a statement. “As with everything else Die!namite, I think readers will find our take on Lord Greystoke fun, different, and exciting. Just this morning, I was writing him fighting a zombie T-Rex – a Z-Rex? Is that a thing? Did I just come up with that? I couldn’t have just come up with that, could I?”
Tony Fleecs and Trish Forstner provide the 1930s horror-movie-poster-inspired covered while Lucio Parrillo, Arthur Suydam, and Joseph Michael Linsner provided their own take on the latest Die!namite zombie tale.
Die!namite Never Dies #1 is due out in March.
