‘Weird West’ Delayed Another Two Months

by Sage Ashford

After only recently announcing it’s release date in January, Wolfeye Studios and Devolver Digital’s Weird West has been delayed another two and a half months. WolfEye released a video announcing the delay along with a statement found below:

“Weird West is an impressively deep mix of action RPG and immersive sim which has the potential to deliver incredibly unique experiences, but also comes with a set of variables that can lead to unintended consequences. That’s why we want to take some and launch the game on March 31, 2022. This will give us time to iron out some of the bothersome issues and accidental deadends, before delivering an experience you, the community, expect.

Thank you for your support and patience.
It’s almost there!”

As frustrating as it is to see this game pushed back, it’s honestly shocking they managed to get a game off the ground and near ready to ship in such a short period of time. WolfEye Studios was announced just two years ago in 2019, and already they have a game almost ready to ship. That’s an impressive turnaround time considering most large-scale AAA titles these days take no less than five years to ship.

Weird West launches on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and on Steam.
