We’ve already told you about this but now we’ve got more art to dangle in front of you, so let’s go for it…
Mega-City Max is the brand-new one-shot 48-pager aimed at teens (but let’s face it, if you’re already a fan then you’ll want to have a look as well) and featuring updated versions of 2000 AD characters including Harlem Heroes, De Marco P.I., Devlin Waugh, and Walter the Wobot, plus brand-new characters, including Lucy Ebrey’s Cranium Chaos.
Giving you these new tales of new and familiar characters are some of the most exciting creators, including some names we’ve featured here at Comicon, the likes of Hannah Templer (of the incredible Cosmoknights previewed recently here), Ramzee (featured here) and Korinna Mei Veropoulou (both of them reprising their fabulous new version of Harlem Heroes – again, we were all over that), plus Oliver Gerlach, VV Glass, Lucie Ebrey, and a rather (sorry Roger) older and more established name – Roger Langridge (most recently featured here with the Pandora Perfect collection) and more.
Having more 2000 AD, doing different things, appealing to new readers, younger readers… that’s a damn good thing. We’ve already got the Regened comics coming every few months as part of the weekly Prog plus the collections, but Mega-City Max has a different look about it, fresh, funky (can I say funky at my age?) – well, you get the idea when you see the art…
MEGA-CITY MAX is out from 2000 AD on 19th June.
