Marvelous Announces Two New ‘Rune Factory’ Games

During Marvelous’ own Marvelous Game Showcase 2023, the publisher announced not one, but two new Rune Factory games. Of course, the Rune Factory series is a spin-off of the popular Story of Seasons (formerly Harvest Moon franchise), with an additional focus on magic and combat. Now, it seems the Rune Factory series is popular enough to get its own spin-off.
First up is Rune Factory: Project Dragon. This new title is meant to be set in Rune Factory’s “Land of the East”, an area that’s never been shown in the Rune Factory world before. In this new area, players will get to explore places with more Japanese influences than can be discovered in the base games. Most of the footage shown during the showcase came from Project Dragon, even though they didn’t announce a date or any systems it was coming to.
Afterwards, they also spoke about Rune Factory 6. Not much was mentioned concerning this game, save that it’s in development and will take place in the continent of Adonea. With Project Dragon taking quite the leap in visuals though, it’s safe to say the same thing will happen for Rune Factory 6.
