First Look: ‘Negaduck’ Covers Feature Darkwing Duck’s Implacable Foe

Ever since Dynamite began publishing a Darkwing Duck comic book, it was only a matter of time before Negaduck pushed his way into a title all his own.
And the company has provided a brief taste of what to expect from the title with three covers for the first issue. The full roster of cover artists include Joshua Middleton, Jae Lee, Trish Forstner, Steve Lieber — who provides the Blackout inspired cover in the gallery above — and an action figure cover from Jeff Parker.
Inside the comic, Parker and artist Ciro Cangialosi weave a tale of the “screeching fingernail on the chalkboard of justice.” But will he be able to weave a new web of crime in St. Canard to his specifications? Will he be able to do it alone? It remains to be seen, but Negaduck #1 will be in stores this September with the first chapter of his dastardly tale.
