I’m lucky enough to have a very small circle that I can count on during the good times and the bad. I have some great friends, remarkable people who are creative partners, and rad people I can share a drink with. There is however a smaller group who are there when the real stuff goes down… as real stuff is wont to do. I know I’m lucky to have them. Few people in this world or the next have “at any hour” people they can have real faith in and my inner circle, my “money ball” as some may call it (you know who you are) are those people.

Part of that circle is my sister. We are not related by blood or marriage, she was not subjected to the youth I had to endure, and we did not cross paths until we were well established in this world. This is not one of those weird cringe things where people buy live-laugh-love style nonsense and cheap bracelets with dangly charms to swap with people they talk to once a year, this is more along the lines of Ace and Luffy, Quixote and Sancho Panza, Pike and Grog.

She’s all the things they write about in literature that make a good sister, and at the end of the day she has my back and I have hers. Funny enough, speaking of Pike and Grog, she is the person who got me to watch Critical Role in the first place. She pushed me to keep watching when the Tiberius Stormwind episodes made me cringe and without her, I would have been even later to the table enjoying those stories and the people who tell them.

All that to say, she is my “Buddies,” and everyone needs a “Buddies.”

Dark Horse Direct and Critical Role are introducing the second-ever dynamic bust of Vox Machina, based on the comics series by Dark Horse Comics. With two tankards in hand, overflowing with much-needed ale, Grog, and his two favorite gnomes are having a table-busting good time! Scanlan, using the half-giant brawler as a stage, is seen belting out one of his famous magical melodies. Pike finds comfort perched on her buddy’s shoulder. Carved into a table plank, you’ll find the letters “BBFL” (Best Buddies For Life) to commemorate their friendship. The entire crew stands approximately 6.5″ inches tall and is a must-have for any Critter looking to expand their party.

Sculpted by Tommy Hodges and painted by J.W. Productions, the Critical Role: Vox Machina Grog Strongjaw, Pike Trickfoot, and Scanlan Shorthalt Bust is limited to 1,000 units and will include a hand-numbered base and certificate of authenticity.
