‘Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden’ Premieres 15 Minute Gameplay Trailer

Developer DONTNOD and publisher Focus Interactive have released a sizeable fifteen minute extended gameplay trailer for their new game Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden. Initially revealed at The Game Awards 2022, Banishers is a traditional over the shoulder action RPG, telling the story of a pair of ghost hunters…where one of the pair is a ghost herself.
The extended trailer sees the pair dealing with a ghost hunting quest to protect a settlement. From the looks of it, there’s some pretty crunchy combat involved, though some of the enemies look a little more spongy than most people would like. Still, it seems players can switch effortlessly between the human Red mac Raithe and spirit Antea Duarte, getting entirely different combat from both. If they can nail both the combat and the story, this has a chance at being a solid title for the end of the year.
Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden releases November 7th for Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and Steam.
