CES 2024: The Biggest Tech Show In Pictures

Comicon.com has covered many events over the years from San Diego Comic-Con to E3 to SXSW. However, this year was the first time we attended the Consumer Electronics Expo (CES). It’s an overwhelming show with over 130,000 attendees and three separate locations that each fill up an entire convention center. You can visit the booths of industry titans including Sony, LG Electronics, and Samsung or learn more about upcoming start-ups. Regardless of who you see, you’ll learn more about the upcoming ground-breaking technology.
Unfortunately, CES is an industry event and not open to the public. If you were interested in receiving a peek inside, you’re in luck. We hit up the various presentations, panels, and show floors and have a gallery of the happenings that occurred.
Even before the actual expo begins, press are already hard at work attending functions and hearing from companies. CES Unveiled is an evening to preview what will be announced in the coming days. It is much more laid back compared to CES proper with much smaller crowds.
There is also a full day of press conferences with the big companies. It’s announcement and reveal after announcement and reveal that it can be overwhelming as you’re bombarded by so much information. But each presentation gets you hyped up for their upcoming products, and there is a level of flair and showmanship to each one.
Once you hit the exhibit floor, there is so much to see. There are cool hands-on demos and fun visuals to observe the tech at work. Over at LG Electronics, they had their transparent televisions on display.

Just because CES is a tech show doesn’t mean that pop culture wasn’t represented. Sony had a nice display of their upcoming The Last of Us Part II Remastered, while various 3-D printer vendors showed how detailed of objects they could create using statues of familiar characters.
CES also has plenty of programming on each day. We sat in on Variety’s Entertainment Summit where we learned how technology is shaping film, TV, digital media, music, podcasts, gaming and more while also hearing predictions on the latest entertainment trends.
Finally, we want to leave you with the most unique tech we encountered: the smart toilet. Kohler showcased their E Ink 2.0 smart toilet. Don’t expect these anytime soon since this model is only an early concept. Plus, how comfortable can a rectangular toilet seat be?
