Throw Back To The Original Marvel Femme Fatale In Artgerm’s ‘Black Widow & Hawkeye’ #1 Cover

Before she was a stalwart Avenger, Natasha Romanova was a Russian spy. To celebrate her new titular limited series with Clint Barton, famed artist Artgerm brings readers back to that era in his variant for Black Widow & Hawkeye #1.
Coming in March to celebrate the duo’s 60th anniversary, Black Widow & Hawkeye brings one of the Marvel Universe’s great duos together for a very personal story. Stephanie Phillips is writing the series, with Paolo Villainelli on art. The series will also feature a variety of covers, including Stanley ‘Artgerm’ Lau’s throwback look.
When Clint Barton is accused of an assassination attempt, Natasha Romanova- sporting her own symbiote- drops everything to help. The duo find themselves quickly in the midst of political upheaval in Madripoor, and in over their head. It’s going to take everything they have to survive it.
“I love getting the chance to dig deep with Natasha Romanoff and Clint Barton to tell a fast-paced spy story that celebrates their 60th anniversary,” Phillips shared. “Nothing is as it seems, and I’m having a ton of fun writing these characters. Not to mention they both look great for 60.”
