Titan Comics Reveal A First Look At ‘Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze’ Graphic Novel

Titan Comics has revealed a first look at Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze its new graphic novel from author Mellow Brown (American Gods, Blade Runner: Origins), co-writer DJ BenHaMeen, artist Tom Mandrake (Captain Kronos, The Spectre), and colourist by Justin Prokowich.
But don’t think it’s yet another biography done in comic book format. No. Rather it’s billed as a “psychedelic space odyssey” (far out, man!) that sees our titular hero journey to the stars and head of the centre of the universe in search of a magic talisman. So, a cosmic hero’s quest with some trippy visuals. One part pulp sci-fi and another part Afro-Futurism and produced in collaboration with Authentic Hendrix, LLC and Jimi’s sister, Janie Hendrix. And in keeping with some of Hendrix’ own believes, as legendary artist Tom Mandrake states:
The story rings true to many of Hendrix’s ideas related to UFOs, aliens and other life forms – concepts he used to explore the human condition.
Jimi Hendrix: Purple Haze is out on July 30th, 2024 from Titan Comics. A must for all Hendrix fans and for comic book lovers everywhere.
