Our Fate Is In Their Paws With BOOM! Studios ‘Man’s Best’ #1 First Look

The loyalty between pets and their humans knows no bounds, whether on Earth or within the far reaches of space. Those bonds will be tested though as BOOM! Studios show in their first look at the upcoming new series Man’s Best.
The series is from Eisner and Harvey Award-winning writer Pornsak Pichetshote (The Good Asian), Eisner Award-nominated artist Jesse Lonergan (Miss Truesdale and the Fall of Hyperborea), and letterer Jeff Powell (Infidel).
Man’s Best follows three emotional support animals on the starship Horizon, alongside humans searching for a new home after corporate greed and bad decisions drove them from the Earth. Decked out with sci-fi tech, these pets are the only hope for their humans when the ship crashes and the crew is captured. Various challenges await this trio as they test the reach of their friendship and grapple with the reality that humanity might be beyond saving.
Featuring a main cover by Lonergan, the series also comes with variants from Trish Forstner, Frany, Jae Lee with June Chung, and Dustin Hguyen.
Man’s Best #1 arrives on March 20.
