Oscar Winner ‘Glory’ Set For 4K Steelbook Release in June

The Academy Award-winning 1989 drama Glory is celebrating its 35th anniversary with a new 4K ultra HD and Blu-ray steelbook edition.
Directed by Edward Zwick (The Last Samurai), Glory tells the true story of the 54th Regiment of Massachusetts, the first Black regiment to fight for the Union in the US Civil War. It stars Matthew Broderick, Denzel Washington, Cary Elwes, Andre Braugher and Morgan Freeman. Washington took home the Oscar for best supporting actor, while the film was also awarded in the cinematography and sound categories.

Restored from the film’s original camera negative, the new 4K edition will be presented in Dolby Atmos 5.1 + 2-channel surround, and will include a visual feature-length commentary. The Blu-ray disc includes a commentary with Zwick, deleted scenes, an interactive Civil War battlefield map, and several documentaries.
The Glory 4K Ultra HD steelbook arrives June 4.
