Zinezilla Returns For A Third Zine Fair & Debuts The Zinezilla Megalazine!

The third Zinezilla illustration and zine fair is happening this weekend — Sunday 10th March — down in Bristol, plus there’s a great 40-page Zinezilla: Megalazine anthology to buy!
Looking for something new, something different, something innovative and exciting? Well, the best way I know of doing that in comics is to look to the new zine makers, the small pressers, the indie comics world – there’s always so much up-and-coming talent, new names doing different things.
Case in point — Zinezilla. Not only is it a free event organised by creators Marcy Fraser and Mereida Fajardo, the latter also part of one of my favourite small publishers here in the UK, Avery Hill Publishing, it’s also a new zine anthology, Zinezilla: Megalazine, packed with the sort of innovation and talent that you’re going to love.
Zinezilla happens THIS Sunday, 11 March, at the Kit Form space at Bristol’s Jamaica St Studios. It’s the third time Zinezilla’s taken place in the city and will feature over 30 artists showcasing plenty of comics, but also zines, prints, and a hell of a lot besides. Essentially, if you’re anywhere near Bristol and have any interest in creative arts and comics, it would be a damn fine day out.
But that’s not all – there’s also the Zinezilla: Megalazine the anthology. It’s 40 pages of comics/zine/art publishing and promoting new artists to you (and me), exhibitors and friends of the Zinezilla fair that not only gives you some great comics and illustrations but also ascts as a fundraiser and supporter for putting on this and future Zinezilla fairs, with all profits going towards making the fair, as Mereida puts it: “more zinetastic than ever before.”
