‘Withnail & I’ And ‘Mute Witness’ Lead Arrow Video’s June 4K releases

Arrow Video’s just announced June releases explore the many variations of cult films, with slashers, suspensers, and a booze-fueled British comedy.
Bruce Robinson’s British cult comedy Withnail & I returns with a brand new 4K restoration on limited edition 4K UHD. The director’s boozy, semi-autobiographical comedy stars Richard E. Grant, Paul McGann, Richard Griffiths, and Ralph Brown, and is overflowing with endlessly quotable dialogue. Special features include audio commentaries, four documentaries, and more. This is a UK-only release.
Slasher films step up next, as 1981’s grisly Madman makes its debut on limited edition 4K UHD. Dawn of the Dead star Gaylen Ross (billed here as Alexis Dubin) and her pals face an axe-wielding maniac inspired by an urban legend taking place in upstate New York. Available in the UK, the release includes a feature-length documentary on the making of the film, commentaries and interviews, and more.
June will also bring the underrated ’90s suspense film Mute Witness to limited edition 4K UHD and Blu-ray. Director Anthony Waller‘s (An American Werewolf in Paris) Hitchcockian thriller stars Marina Sudina as the sole witness to a brutal crime who is unable to speak (so it’s not just a clever title). It also stars Fay Ripley and Evan Richards. Arrow’s UK and US release includes brand new, recently discovered bonus materials to be announced.
Finally in June, Nightsiren makes its debut on limited edition Blu-ray in the US Director Tereza Nvotová‘s acclaimed film explores misogyny and religious fanaticism through the lens of psychological horror. The Blu-ray includes a new commentary and video essays.
All four releases come with a reversible sleeve and an illustrated collector’s booklet. Also, check out Arrow’s physical releases set for the month of May.
