Presenting ‘The World’s First Auto-Converting Decepticon – Megatron’ From Hasbro And Robosen

A few years back, Robosen Robotics Innovation and Hasbro collaborated on an immersive Optimus Prime robot. Since then, they have worked together to release similar products modeled after Transformers Bumblebee and Grimlock. Now, the two companies have partnered again — this time to create their very first Decepticon.

Announced during a recent Hasbro Pulse Fan Stream, the world’s first auto-converting Decepticon is their leader, Megatron. He can instantly change from robot to tank form, and vice versa, through an app or voice control. He stands 21” tall and comes with 36 servo motors and 118 microchips powering it internally. The robot also features “a new and more fluid bipedal walking algorithm, integration of 112 ultra-bright LEDs, an arsenal of incredible included weapons, and a brilliant silver-metallic finish that embodies the true essence of the ominous leader.”

In addition, much like the Optimus Prime robot, Megatron will be voiced by the original actor G1 actor from 1984. Frank Welker went into the studio to record over 270 unique lines and catch phrases bringing another level of authenticity.
