‘Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact’ Presents A Closer Look At Gon, Killua, and Hisoka
by Sage Ashford
After being announced at the end of last year, Bushiroad Games and Eighting have offered the first real trailer for their upcoming fighting game, Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact. Nen Impact aims to be a three on three fighter, where characters can be switched to create better match-ups, or tag in for brief “Assist” combos. The game will also employ the beginner friendly “Rush button” to do combo moves on other players.
Fans who are looking for Marvel vs Capcom-style super moves won’t be disappointed either, with Supers coming in the form of “Aura Arts”, which can be merged between characters to create even more damaging “Unison Arts”. Lastly, there’s a special feature known as “Over Gear”, a once per battle feature that can improve enemy stats to make things easier.
Though the graphics leave quite a bit to be desired, this is in line with expectations from Bushiroad after they mentioned wanting to do all of their video games with a budget of a million dollars or less. Nonetheless, the combat still looks fun, at least.
They’ve also given focus trailers to Gon, Killua, and Hisoka:
Hunter x Hunter: Nen Impact will release on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Steam.
