Exclusive ‘G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero’ Compendium Faux-Leather Hardcover Box Set To Launch On Kickstarter

While we helped announce the news that Skybound/Image Comics and Hasbro are collecting all of the Marvel G.I. JOE: A Real American Hero comic book series of the ’80s as a series of paperback compendiums, what we didn’t know at the time was their plans to also launch a Kickstarter for special faux-leather hardcover box set editions of the compendiums. The box art is to be produced by regular series’ cover artists Andy Kubert and Brad Anderson.
Ahead of the launch on Tuesday, May 28th, 2024, at 6 a.m. (PT) anyone interested can join the mailing list and get a free limited edition Storm Shadow trading card if you back the book. Plus, if you do back this campaign you’ll get the following exclusives too:
“Each box set includes a set of nine campaign exclusive JOE or COBRA Collectible Trading Cards from some of the very best G.I. JOE artists of the past, present, and future! Including art from Chris Mooneyham, Lee Weeks, Rod Whigham, Carlo Pagulayan, Paul Pelletier, Pat Olliffe, Ron Wagner, Dan Jurgens, and the legendary Larry Hama! The first six cards of each set will be revealed when the campaign launches, and the last three will be voted on by the fans.”
