‘ThunderCats’ #6 Starts A New Story Arc And Gives The Thundertank A Feature Cover

Soon, the Thundertank will be on the move.

As mentioned earlier today, ThunderCats #6 will see the return of artist Drew Moss after a one-issue break. The issue will also start the next major story arc from Moss and writer Declan Shalvey. Now settled on Third Earth, the ‘Cats must endeavor to make the planet a home. This means Moss will get to re-envision the Cat’s Lair and the legendary Thundertank will debut. Additionally, much like issue #5’s spotlight on Cheetara, the new story will center a different ‘Cat in each issue even as Lion-O continues his journey to becoming a leader.

As an example, issue #6 sees Panthro testing out the Thundertank while he goes on a search for more Thundrainium and recalls fond days on his homeworld when Lion-O was just a cub. Of course, he may find a Mu’Tant or two on his quest and learn about Third Earth’s history as a penal planet(!?).

Supporting the issue are covers from David Nakayama — who provides the Thundertank its staring role in his cover — Lucio Parrillo, Shalvey, Jae Lee, Ivan Tao, and the action figure variant. But joining the group is Rahzzah, who offers a spectacular fight between Lion-O and Slithe.

ThunderCats #6 arrives in shops this July.
