Alien Invasion Anime ‘Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction’ Is Landing on Crunchyroll

Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction is a slice-of-life anime based on the manga by Inio Asano creator of cult favorite Goodnight Punpun. The 12 manga has been adapted into A two-part anime film adaptation produced by Production +h for Japanese viewers. This two-part film is being converted into an 18-episode anime series streaming on Crunchyroll.
“As the world is threatened by the sudden appearance of a mysterious alien mothership, best friends Koyama Kadode and Nakagawa “Ontan” Oran carry on about their high school life. But as they grow up, they face existential questions, learning adulthood’s complexities and that the true threat may not be from above.”
While Episode 0 has already premiered — fans of the manga have warned viewers to avoid it because the episode spoils the series ending. It may have just been better to release the Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction two part films in Western theaters. Hopefully, those who are new to the works of Inio Asano will be engaged by Dead Dead Demon’s Dededede Destruction.
