Fantasy Dress Up Game, “Infinity Nikki”, Gets A New Trailer, Goes Into Beta
by Sage Ashford
Papergames and Infold Games’ Infinity Nikki got a new trailer during the recent PlayStation State of Play, offering a deeper glimpse at the world and confirming a beta test window. The fifth game in the Nikki series, Infinity Nikki takes Nikki to an alternate version of Miraland to explore, where she and her partner Momo can continue to use stylish outfits to help change the world around them.
As Infinity Nikki takes the franchise open-world, Nikki gains a new collection of stylish dresses that let her explore the world better, including outfits that allow her to float, glide, shrink, and purify enemies. Of course, exploration isn’t the only thing dressing up helps with, as the PlayStation blog discusses in detail:
Dress-up and relaxation
Miraland is also a world for you to relax in and enjoy without worries.
Change into different outfits to fish, catch bugs with a net, or collect wool from sheep. With an in-depth gathering system, the materials Nikki finds will eventually be used to craft outfits. Whether you’re in the meadow, frolicking among the flowers, or by the river, you can meet fascinating creatures! There’s a fish shaped like a handkerchief, a cat with shirt-like fur, a worm that resembles a sock… Every branch and bud can hold surprises you’ve never seen before.
Dress-up and challenging adventures
As players progress through the game, they’ll encounter exciting challenges that require the use of different outfit abilities.
These levels blend puzzle-solving, collecting, and platforming. Nikki and Momo will race in mine carts with the wind, navigate through the miniature worlds of Beauty Lab, or run from ghosts in railcars. Each diorama-like level brings unique challenges and fun through various gimmicks and designs.
Infinity Nikki will enter a beta test on PlayStation 5 in Q3 2024. Currently no full release date has been announced.
