‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba’ Infinity Castle Arc Will Be An Epic Movie Trilogy

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba aired its final episode of the Hashira Training Arc this spring season. With that jaw-dropping incredible finale comes the announcement from Crunchyroll that they have acquired the worldwide rights (outside of elect Asian territories) to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba‘s “Infinity Castle” arc. It will be split into a film trilogy and be distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Entertainment.
The series, based on the Shonen Jump manga by Koyoharu Gotoge, had its first anime arc back in April 2019. The series follows Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko, who was turned into a demon. He vows to save her and defeat the demons by joining the Demon Slayer Corps. Its first film, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train, released in October 2020. It broke records and currently holds the record as the highest-grossing anime movie of all time and the highest-grossing Japanese film at the global box office, garnering over $500 million to date. It currently ranks as the second-highest grossing anime film in US box office history. It also earned a 98% critic score and 99% audience score (with 10,000+ verified ratings) on Rotten Tomatoes. Alongside the anime, two other films have been released — To the Swordsmith Village, and To the Hashira Training — and with them the accompanying seasonal arcs.
Production studio Ufotable has done what can only be described as a magnificent job on the anime and films; it is a spectacle to watch and leaves viewers in awe. Animation and choreography this amazing is very rarely seen in some modern anime. The finale of this series is something to look forward to, and thanks to Crunchyroll and Sony Entertainment, it will be coming to theaters worldwide for all to enjoy!
